Description | IKEA Singapore reminds consumers to secure furniture to prevent tip-over accidents
IKEA Singapore reminds consumers to secure their IKEA-bought furniture to a wall to prevent risk of tip-over accidents. This is following their recent notice of an on-going recall in the United States, involving their MALM and other models of chests and dressers. If these chests and dressers are not properly anchored to the wall, they may pose serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in injuries or death to children.
As part of IKEA Singapore’s Secure it or Return it! campaign, customers who own any of these chests or dressers are advised to head to an IKEA store to receive a free anchoring kit or contact IKEA at customerservice.IKEAsg@ikano.asia or 6786 6868 to receive it by mail.
Alternatively, a handyman service can also be arranged to help consumers. If consumers are unable to anchor these chests or dressers to the wall or are not comfortable using the product, they can bring these items back to IKEA for a refund. |
