The Preparatory Meeting Of ASEAN Consumer Empowerment Index and ASEAN Handbook On Consumer Protection

In line with the ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint (2025) and the ASEAN Strategic Action Plan for Consumer Protection (2016-2025), ASEAN Secretariat arrange the The Kick-Off Meeting on the ASEAN Consumer Empowerment Index and ASEAN Handbook On Consumer Protection which  was convened from 12-14 July 2017 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia with the support from the GIZ.

The meeting discussed about:

  1. The elements and methodology to develop and implement the ASEAN Consumer Empowerent Index and
  2. The structure and content of the Handbook on Consumer Protection Laws and Regulations in ASEAN.
