OCPB in collaboration with the Consumer Protection Police Division has detected and seized electrical appliances of low quality

The Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) and the Consumer Protection Police Division of Thailand received several complaints of businesses and individuals selling electric vacuum cleaners and water sprayers using exaggerated advertising through Facebook and through the LINE instant messaging app.

Consumers who purchased the product claimed that it does not work as originally advertised.  They also found that the product is of low quality with many defects.

The OCPB has expanded its investigations and acknowledged that these products were shipped from overseas.  They have also found that the suppliers or sellers of the products are foreigners.

The Officers of the Consumer Protection Police Division, therefore, arrested the supplier and seized all the goods.
