Forum for Consumer Protection Dialogue With University

The dialogue forum on consumer protection was held in several regions in Indonesia in cooperation with local university. This event is conducted in order to open the consumers insight and improve the understanding of consumers from an early age. The selection of university as an object of activity implementation is based on the character of the students who are more active and critical in addressing an issue and their ability in accessing information, besides the reasoning that at the age as a university students they already have their independence in determining the choice of consuming a product.
This forum also involves some experts on consumer protection, academia and local government to discuss about the government's policy on consumer protection, the rights and obligations of consumers and businesses, consumer protection agencies and the efforts that have been undertaken by the central and regional governments in protecting consumers.
Furthermore, it is expected that students who have attended this dialogue forum can be the successor of information to the community.
