FIELD VISIT BY YB MINISTER FOR THE PROVISION OF RON97 PETROL AT PETRONAS KIMANIS
Malaysia , 03 May 2025

Membakut, May 3 – YB Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, conducted a field visit today to observe the implementation of RON97 petrol provision at the Petronas Station in Kimanis, Sabah.
The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has taken proactive measures to address the supply issue of RON97 petrol in the Southwest Coastal Zone of Sabah, which has been affecting visitors, particularly from Brunei.
This initiative not only supports the needs of Brunei visitors travelling by land to Kota Kinabalu but also allows for the evaluation of operational effectiveness, supply stability, and customer demand patterns.
In addition, KPDN has implemented a Monitoring Log Record mechanism for 538 petrol stations across Sabah, Sarawak, and the Federal Territory of Labuan starting January 1, 2025. This is part of ongoing efforts to monitor and strengthen the enforcement and management of both subsidized and non-subsidized fuel supplies.
