DTI and DA Continue the Conduct of Kadiwa Diskwento Karavan

Philippines , 06 July 2021

Amidst the general community quarantine (GCQ), the Department of Trade Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) continue joint conduct of the Kadiwa Diskwento Karavan (KDK) to provide affordable basic necessities and prime commodities to the public.

Last 21 June 2021, DTI’s Consumer Policy and Advocacy Bureau (CPAB), in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Parañaque City, DA, and the manufacturers of basic necessities and prime commodities, brought the KDK closer to the residents of Raya Garden Condominiums.  KDK is a joint program of DTI’s Diskwento Caravan and DA’s Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita, wherein manufactured goods and fresh vegetables, fruits, agricultural-products are available at discounted prices for the consumers.

DTI-Consumer Protection Group (CPG) Undersecretary Atty. Ruth B. Castelo emphasizes that, “the KDK is an important assistance program of DTI and DA for consumers. But we ensure that the compliance with health and safety protocols are strictly observed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
