Notification of the Committee on Labelling: the electric unicycle is a label-controlled goods

Article 1 in this notification;
An electric unicycle means a set of devices for making the body move by the user or the driver must maintain balance and control the speed to move forward and backward or twist to go sideways. The main component is only one spinning wheel and consumes the energy from electrical energy accumulators such as batteries and capacitors. In this regard, it shall include the unicycle electric bike or any other vehicle with an electric single wheel as a component.
Article 2 Electric unicycle is subject to a controlled label.
Article 3 The label of a commodity subject to a controlled label under Article 2 shall be specified text, pictures, artificial designs, or images as appropriate, as the case may be, but such statements must be true, does not cause misunderstandings about the essence of that product and must be in Thai or Thai language with a foreign language to explain to understand the meaning of the picture, artificial designs or images that can be seen and read clearly, provided that it is under Article 4 and Article 5.
The provisions in paragraph one shall not apply to the label of label-controlled goods manufactured for export and not sold in Thailand.
Article 4 The label of label-controlled goods must be specified as follows;
(1) The name of the category or type of goods that can be understood as what the goods are;
(2) The name or trademark of the goods which are registered in Thailand of the manufacturer for sale.
(3) The name or trademark of the goods which are registered in Thailand of the ordered person or importer in the kingdom for sale;
(4) In the case of imported goods, the name of the country of manufacture must also be specified
(5) The location of the manufacturer for sale or of the ordered person or importer into the kingdom for sale:
(6) Must present the size or dimensions or quantity or volume or weight of the goods, as the case may be. For the unit used, the full name or abbreviation, or wildcard can be used instead;
(7) Must present the instructions for use so that consumers can accurately understand the purpose of use such as for sports, outdoor use, and transporting persons over short distances;
(8) Recommendations for use and contraindications or storage so that consumers can use that product properly by displaying on the product with at least the followings;
(a) Always check the readiness of the equipment before use.
(b) Read the instruction manual carefully and understand it before use
(c) Be careful throughout the use.
(d) Please check the tire pressure regularly and using it when the battery is low may cause the device to stop working.
(e) Not suitable for persons under the age of 18.
(f) Beginners must be closely supervised.
(g) In case of the electric unicycle is used on a pavement or traffic surface with pedestrians or there are other vehicles involved. Safety accessories such as helmets, gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, or other protective clothing should be used also audio equipment and lighting devices or reflectors at night so that pedestrians or vehicles can see clearly.
(h) Do not operate in bad weather conditions, low visibility, and poor surroundings.
(i) Do not operate when the body is fatigued.
(j) Do not operate at high speed.
(k) Do not use a mobile phone while using it.
(l) Prohibited to be used for the carriage of goods.
(m) Heart disease patients and pregnant women are prohibited to use.
(n) Store the electric unicycle in a dry and shaded place with appropriate temperature and humidity if the electric unicycle is not used for a long time, charge the battery at least once a month.
(9) The warning must state, “If the safety device is not inserted, it can be fatal.” Such messages must use larger letters than other characters and must use a color that contrasts with the background color. It must be able to see and read differently from other texts with colored letters contrasting with the background color, a size of not less than 3 millimeters.
(10) Documents or manuals for the attached product must specify at least as followings;
(a) Components, structures, parts, or materials used to make the electric unicycle.
(b) Installation procedures and various methods of use and how to maintain.
(c) Installation equipment for the electric unicycle.
(d) Instructions for safety in the use of the electric unicycle.
(e) The period of product warranty and details of product warranty conditions.
(11) Date, month, and year of manufacture, unless the exact date of production cannot be specified, specify only the week and year of manufacture or month and year of production to understand the benefits of the quality or properties of such goods.
(12) Date, month, and year of expiration or date, month, and year that should be used before the specified date, month, and year must be specified only in the case of goods with an expiration date to understand the benefits of the quality or properties of such goods.
(13) Price, specified in Thai Baht.
