Yoto Limited has issued a voluntary corrective action for the charging cables that were sold with the Yoto Mini, a portable connected screen-free speaker intended for children ages three to twelve. The speaker’s lithium-ion battery can overheat and catch fire when at a high state of charge, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers.

The model name “Yoto Mini”, SKU PRPLXX00860, and serial number are located on the base of the product. The speakers are pale grey with orange tactile controls and a pixel display.

Affected consumers should immediately stop using the speaker and contact Yoto to receive a free replacement smart charging cable (“Yoto Mini Smart Cable”) which can charge the battery to a safe level.
